Agricultural activity

In 2006 agricultural company “Vladivske podvirya” was established.

Considering historically established agricultural traditions of Odessa region, sheep breeding was chosen as the first production activity of the company. After some time, in view of a critical deficit of pork in the market, it was decided to change production activities of the company to pig breeding. As a result, over the last 3 years we have built and put into operation sections for pigs’ reproduction and fattening, allowing breeding of up to 6,000 head per year.

Fields of activity

Pig breeding

Food culture in Ukraine always supposed consumption of large amounts of meat. However, in recent decades, there was a deficit in the pork market, which was covered mainly by imported meat. Such economic situation clearly illustrated the need of the revival of local pig breeding industry.

Foundation of our success is an effective unification of Ukrainian ancient livestock traditions and world's latest technologies in the field of keeping and breeding pigs.

Our pig farm is located 60 km from the city of Odessa. It is equipped with modern European equipment and meets all of the environmental safety standards, as well as sanitary and veterinary standards, labor protection and animal well-being standards.

Availability of our private land allows us to feed animals with fodder of our own production. We are responsible for the quality of our meat, starting from the stage of crop cultivation used in the fodder preparation. Such vertically integrated business model allows us to control all stages of pork production: from grain to piglet, and from piglet to your dinner table.

Grain production

Crop activities are focused on cultivation of agricultural land of the company located in Ivanivsky and Velykomikhaylivsky districts of Odessa region.

We grow wheat, barley, maize mostly for own use, namely, to make the fodder. For crop rotation, we grow certain quantity of sunflower for sale.

For wheat and barley production we use seeds of Ukrainian selection; for production of maize and sunflower – seeds of foreign selection. Being an integral part of our business model, grain production allows us to control quality and cost of meat at all stages of industrial process.

Our agricultural department uses traditional technology of cultivation and carefully monitors crop rotation, preventing emaciation of soil.
